Future Agricultural Heritage — #1 Shared Farmers Operating Infrastructure for the Cycling of Nutrients at Landscape Level

Farmers in the peri-urban area face difficulties to realize the goals of closing nutrient loops and regenerative soil care on the level of the farm. This leaves opportunities to facilitate some of these processes ‘at landscape level’ and to re-balance the relation between what happens on and off farm. In our research we took a closer look to the case of ‘Parkbos’, one of the green axes of Ghent. In this demarcated area of 1200 hectares, agriculture and nature actors find themselves on each other's doorstep. Working together from an agroecological perspective results in win-wins for ecological, economic and social aspects.
