The Living Lab campus Sterre is a project funded by the Flemish Climate Fund in which the campus serves as an experimentation space for students, university staff, academic staff and external actors who together develop innovative measures to make the campus more sustainable and climate-friendly.

The transition to a sustainable and climate-neutral campus poses many challenges for the university: energy-related building challenges, but also issues concerning densification, green management, land positions, ownership, management, circular economy, accessibility, sharing space, etc. In the Living Lab, we will tackle these issues through action research and action education, within courses and/or interdisciplinary master's thesis workshops.
